trying to go back to my pre pregger weight

"it took 9 months to put it on...its ok if it takes you 9 months to take it off..."

My baby girl was born on Sept 18, 2010 at 11:55 pm! Alhamdulillah, totally enjoying her and my toddler, I am tandem nursing and the weight is just melting off me.  I am trying to eat more and have constant fluids because, alhamdulillah these kiddos can eat.  (btw my toddler is eating food regularly but I still nurse him to sleep or when he gets hurt, he is 23 months old and I will stop inshaAllah @ 30 months or before if he weans himself).

yup, am back trying to lose some baby weight.  At 9 months and ready to pop I was around 160-162lbs. My starting weight was 146, just weighed myself and I am 148-149 lbs so I lost about 14 or so pounds. ALHAMDULILLAH.

So far though I might just put on all that weight again because staring at me right now are a whole bunch of entenmanns goodies, ALL BUTTER loaf caked, cheese danish twist, Marshmallow iced devil's food cake, marble loaf cake and some other ones.  SO OH MY GOD do I need to watch it.  My first baby boy my starting weight was 130lbs so I am hoping to go back to that weight.  I also remember that for one month after birth I ate all kinds of junk food and gained a bunch of weight surpassing my prego weight.  Inshaallah I don't do it this time.  Make du'a for me!

Ramadan Day 2

After iftar last night I ate 4 cups of watermelon (around 10pm) and around midnight I ate okra with some white rice and a side dish of sliced tomatoes and lemon.  I drank chicha morada  that I made with my friend the day before Ramadan.

For suhoor I had that lamb stew with Okra, white rice, a side dish of sliced tomatoes w/ lemon juice and chicha for the drink.

Since I am currently about 34 weeks pregnant I am taking it as easy as possible during the day.  With a toddler though that isn't always possible.  I did make up 4 days of fasting during Sha'aban the last one I completed on the 28th. So my first fast of Ramadan wasn't the first I was doing that was so long (nearly 16hrs) none the less being as preggers as I am it still has some discomfort.  InshaAllah I am able to get through this month without any issues.  Ya'll be making du'a for me right?

I want a healthy pregnancy, easy natural delivery (preferably home birth like my first) and a quick recovery.  That my child is born healthy without any mental, physical or emotional deficiencies. AMEEN.

Ramadan Day ONE

suhoor, lamb stew, white rice, chicha morada.

iftar: date, lamb stew, watermelon, white rice, chicha morada.

Lomo Saltado

This was another craving I had (still stuck on Peruvian) called Lomo Saltado. I made it last nigh and alhamdulillah I am still eating it! Alhamdulillah! I can eat more food (before everything made me sick) but the nausea is a little stronger. I was checking myself out in the mirror yesterday and guess what? I am showing! I don't even know how that happened because I am still only 3mothish along. Alhamdulillah.

My little dude (17 months) is still nursing and I intend on continuing as long as it is physically possible for me inshaAllah. I guess your du'as are working people because I feel like a different woman from even 4 days ago. yay!

found the img online but it did look just like it minus the vegetables in the rice, I just had plain white rice.

cravings COMPLETE

as salaamu aalaykum!

this pregnancy is still kicking my butt, however, I am doing A LOT better alhamdulillah. Today I ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

I then was able to eat 2 (yes two!!) steaks, a big portion of rice and this crazy good sauce (huancaina).

I made papa a la Huancaina (beyond good) and made extra sauce so I can add it to everything.

This is what it looked like(sorta). Picture courtesy of aPeaceofCake. yum.

am not dieting

I am no longer trying to loose weight. My new goal is to try to eat healthier so I don't have to worry about it later when its crunch time. :)
